It's was another busy week for St. Coca's AC, with our athletes representing the club at national events, graded competition, and championship athletics.

Run with Ciara Mageean
At the recent National Senior Championships, two of our juvenile athletes, Louisa Burke and Matthew Ennis, had the opportunity to take part in the Run with Ciara Mageean event.

The event gave young athletes from around the country the chance to meet one of Irelands greatest-ever athletes and hear from someone whose achievements, dedication, and willingness to inspire others have made a lasting impact on Irish athletics. It was also encouraging to see so many of Ireland's leading athletes taking the time throughout the day to chat with and encourage younger athletes, a reminder that athletics is about much more than competition.

Dublin Graded Meet
Several St. Coca's athletes were also in action at the most recent Dublin Graded Meet at Morton Stadium, with many using the evening as their final competitive outing ahead of this week's National Masters Championships.

Congratulations to Emma Wallace, Denise Fox, Mark Leonard, Bernard Phelan, Caoimhe Farrell, Diarmuid Hickey, and Werner Olivier, who all represented the club. A special mention also to Lauren Duffy of Bohermeen AC, who has been training alongside Werner in recent months.

We wish all of our Masters athletes the very best as they compete at the upcoming National Masters Championships .

Athlete Spotlight: Maebh Caffrey
One week on from the National Senior Championships, we also reflected on a remarkable season from Maebh Caffrey, who made her senior championship debut after a year of outstanding progress.

Having been part of the club since her juvenile days, Maebh enjoyed a brilliant season across both the indoor and outdoor campaigns. She opened the year by breaking the five-minute barrier for the mile before recording new indoor personal bests of 2:16 for 800m and 4:35 for 1500m. Championship success followed with medals at the IUAA Indoor Championships and National U23 Indoor Championships.

Her outdoor season continued that momentum. Maebh lowered her outdoor 1500m personal best to 4:31, improved her outdoor 800m best to 2:10, claimed the Leinster Senior 800m title, and added another IUAA championship medal while representing Maynooth University.

Maebh also made a well-earned debut at the National Senior Outdoor Championships, another significant milestone in what has been an excellent year. We congratulate Maebh on everything she has achieved and look forward to following her continued progress.
